On the evening of August 27, Career International released its 2026 interim report. In the first half of the year, the company generated revenue of RMB 8.119 billion (USD 1,192.06 million), up 14.75% year on year. Net profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 151 million (USD 22.17 million), representing a 19.72% increase year on year, while net profit attributable to shareholders excluding non-recurring items increased 25.81% to RMB 121 million (USD 17.77million).
During the reporting period, Career International continued to advance its core strategy of “Specialization, Digitalization, Globalization and Ecosystem Integration”, while optimizing its business mix and accelerating digital transformation. The contribution of high-value-added services continued to increase, while gains in operating efficiency and scale driven by AI adoption began to translate into tangible results, supporting simultaneous improvements in revenue quality and profitability. By region, revenue from Mainland China reached RMB 6.757 billion (USD 992.09 million), up 15.32% year on year, while revenue from Hong Kong, China and overseas markets reached RMB 1.361 billion (USD 199.83million), representing a 12.02% year-on-year increase.

As AI continues to evolve rapidly, emerging sectors including foundation models, AI Agents, autonomous driving, biotechnology and intelligent manufacturing are reshaping the global talent landscape. Demand continues to grow for senior R&D professionals, cross-functional management talent and globally experienced professionals, particularly across AI infrastructure, AI applications, embodied intelligence, robotics and biotechnology.
Against this backdrop, Career International continued to deepen its capabilities in emerging industries and other key areas of the new economy. By focusing on critical talent needs across technology R&D, commercialization, global expansion and business management, the company is building differentiated capabilities across the value chain. It is also further strengthening its full-stack offering spanning organization consulting, talent supply chain solutions and AI-powered digital workforce services, helping clients strengthen organizational capabilities and support strategic transformation and innovation. In H1 2026, more than 4,600 clients contributed revenue to the business.
At the same time, Career International continued to shift its business towards higher-value and more specialized services, further strengthening its competitive position in critical talent solutions. During the reporting period, gross margin for its executive search business increased to 37.70%, while gross margin for Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) reached 42.78%. To date, the company has successfully placed more than 5,800 mid-to-senior managers and technical specialists with clients in China and overseas, and managed over 54,000 outsourced personnel & independent contractors, with over 320,000 cumulative assignments. Technology R&D remained a strategic focus, with professionals in these roles accounting for more than 70% of the active outsourced workforce and serving as a key growth driver as the company moves further upstream in the value chain.

During the reporting period, Career International continued to increase investment in technology innovation, with RMB 65.32 million (USD 9.59 million) invested in key areas including the “HEWA” ecosystem platform, industry-specific AI model development, AI Agent product portfolio and the Vendor Management System (VMS). These investments are building a stronger technology foundation for future growth. Revenue from new technology-driven businesses reached RMB 52 million (USD7.63 million), up 35.90% year on year.
As a key outcome of its AI strategy, Career International developed MiraDay, an AI-powered recruitment product for international markets, built on its years of executive search expertise and proprietary Team Agent multi-agent architecture. MiraDay deploys specialized AI Agents to automate complex tasks such as candidate sourcing, industry research, talent mapping and competitive analysis, improving the efficiency and quality of critical talent identification. The product focuses on senior talent recruitment across emerging technology sectors, including AI, biopharmaceuticals, semiconductors and intelligent hardware.

Meanwhile, Career International continued to deepen the digitalization of its finance and business operations, embedding AI capabilities across its operating and organizational management processes. The company further enhanced its expert data management platform to strengthen talent connectivity and identify new opportunities within its expert network. It also launched Realink, an intelligent digital service platform for outsourced employees, providing one-stop services including AI-powered customer support, certificate issuance and contract enquiries. To drive AI transformation across the organization, the company also launched its inaugural “Digital Pioneer” AI Innovation Competition, offering end-to-end training focused on AI tool adoption, business innovation and practical use cases. The initiative further strengthened the organization’s overall digital intelligence and innovation capabilities.
On the ecosystem platform front, HEWA continued to enhance operational efficiency and drive steady business growth, while introducing Domi, its AI Agent application. As of the end of H1 2026, HEWA had more than 20,600 registered ecosystem partners (+20.50% YoY), more than 203,400 registered recruitment consultants (+21.40% YoY), more than 148,600 mid-to-senior recruitment positions managed through the platform (+69.90%YoY), and closed over 33,400 positions (+84.00% YoY) successfully.
During the reporting period, Career International continued to deepen global collaboration, focusing on strengthening resource coordination across key markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America. The company plans to acquire the remaining 30% stake in Caraffi Ltd. Upon completion, the transaction will further strengthen its global business presence and enhance its talent delivery and client service capabilities, supporting the company’s continued international expansion.
